Canada Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025

On 1st November 2022, IRCC has released its immigration levels plan 2023-2025. Here are main highlights of this immigration plan:

  • As per this plan, Canada will welcome 1.4 million new permanent residents in next three years, i.e. between 2023 and 2025
  • The IRCC will welcome 465,000 new permanent residents in 2023
  • This target will further increase to 485,000 in 2024 and
  • In 2025, Canadian government will accept massive 500,000 newcomers, which is incredible.
  • Nearly 60 percent of new immigrants will be accepted under Economic immigration programs, such as, Express Entry, PNP, AIP, etc.

Canada to accept record number of immigrant in 2023

The IRCC will invite nearly 60 percent of new immigrants under economic immigration programs, i.e. Express Entry system, PNP, etc. Express Entry and PNP are two most popular immigration programs for skilled professionals seeking PR visa in Canada.

Canadian PNPs will invite most number of immigrants in 2022

The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) of Canada will accept most number of new permanent residents in the year 2023, i.e. 105,500. Hence, candidates, who unable to get invitation through EE system has the option to get PR visa in Canada based on provincial nomination.

Express Entry admissions in 2023

The EE system is fastest and most popular immigration program of Canada. It will accept 82,880 candidates. Express Entry register the applicants under three main categories, i.e.

  • Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)
  • Federal Skilled Trades (FST)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

The IRCC resumed its all-program draws of EE system on 6 July 2022 and since then it is constantly increasing the number of invitations issued to candidates to apply for Canadian PR visa. Moreover, its continuously dropping the CUT OFF marks or CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score requirement to get the invitation. 

Considering this trend, the CUT OFF is expected to be in the range of the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) applicants very soon, which will ensure more and more applicants get ITAs for PR visa.
